   MINERAL SPRINGS & SPAS 
Bulgaria boasts over 500 natural mineral springs as well as many rich deposits of curative peat and mud, most of them converted today into modern spa resorts with excellent facilities and equipment. The featured resorts and leading hotels offer swimming pools, saunas, gyms and all sports and spa facilities. The clean air combined with hot water springs offer ideal conditions for the year-round operations of spas in the mountains and by the sea.    SANDANSKI 
The town of Sandanski is a famous climato-balneological center. It is situated at the foot of the Alpine Pirin Mountain along the river Sandanska Bistritsa where numerous mineral springs issue forth. The waters from the Sandanski area were even used in II millennium BC by the Thracian tribe Medi. During the Roman and Medieval ages, the spa center prospered as can be seen from the temple-bath remains. There are more than 20 springs in the resort. The waters have a temperature ranging between 35°C - 83°C and total flow rate of 19 L/s.

   VELINGRAD 
Velingrad is well known for its beautiful surrounding and excellent mineral springs. Roman baths and water supply system remains are found here. The town of Velingrad is situated on the west side of the picturesque Rhodopes Mountain at 750-780 m elevation. There are over 70 hot mineral water springs on the town territory of 132 L/s total flow rate. The extremely favourable climate of Velingrad combined with the Mediterranean influence provides good opportunity of applying the climatic- and balneotherapeutic programs all year-round.

   HISSAR 
The town of Hissar is one of the largest spas known since ancient times, situated in South Bulgaria, close to the Valley of Roses, and 42 km North of Plovdiv. There are 22 mineral water sources with a total flow rate of 35 L/s and temperature of 27C-52C. Hissar boasts numerous archaeological and historical landmarks. Besides, Hissar is situated just 25 km from the village of Starossel where in August 2000 archaeologists found an enormous III c. BC Temple-Tomb of what is believed to be a Thracian ruler, possibly Sitalkes I.

   ALBENA 
Ecological resort, fresh air, crystal clear sea and mineral water, remedial herbs, various natural products and perfectly organised Medical and Spa Centre, in which highly-qualified specialists are employed. Our precious allies are: the specific sea climate, fresh air rich in salts, ozone, bromine, calcium, oxide-sulphur compounds, iodine with an optimum air humidity: 63-65%. Mineral water-hypothermic with a temperature of 30o C, slightly mineralised, hydrocarbon with magnesium and calcium, oxide-sulphur compounds - 2.2mg/litre and free-sulphured hydrogen with pH 7.39.

   POMORIE 
Pomorie, one of Bulgaria's best known mud treatment and seaside resorts, was founded during the 5th century B.C., when it was known as Anhialo. It is situated on a peninsula which juts out 2 km into the sea, 20 km north of the city of Bourgas. The famous Pomorie curative mud lake and salt pans, numerous vineyards and gardens are located nearby. The prime curative factors are the Pomorie curative mud, the lake lye, the favourable sea climate, the sea and beach.
